I love them, they make reloads very ergonomic and may save a little time. The down side is your shotgun does end up a little heavier, but I’ll except that for 6 extra rounds on board. I had the same trouble with my mesa, the guys at Mesa have great customer service, I just think the 930 is picky about that configuration.

All in all though I do like the look of the stock itself. lonehunter 1/23/2008 11:45:01 AM Thanks Kevin, I am glad you like the X-Caliber stock and that of course is the most important thing as that is what Mesa Tactical is selling. In a conventional stock (McM, AI, TRG, etc), I have no problem doing this even on magnum calibers because I am a rigid part of the rifle system. On the compressible stocks I, it has been the exact opposite. How is the design of your system different from the Knoxx design such that yours avoids the problems it has (as described in my other post) ? lonehunter 1/23/2008 12:30:03 PM Originally Posted By Zak-Smith: Originally Posted By lonehunter: Thanks for interest. How is the design of your system different from the Knoxx design such that yours avoids the problems it has (as described in my other post) ? Hi Zak, I cant comment on Knoxx (or Blackhawk that is now) but I can say that I have actually improved my sight acquisition and staying on target with the Shot Shock and this was especially noticeable with my .50 cal BMG. It kept the rifle straight and on target instead of hopping. I guess all I can say is that I recommend that you try it for yourself and see how it affects you personally wether positively or not. Again the Shot Shock is only an optional accessory that I put on X-Caliber so it is not a permanent feature like the Knoxx/Blackhawk Axiom rifle would be. I hope that helps answer your question to the best of my ability. Semper Fi, Gregg Mute 1/23/2008 12:52:09 PM As the others above had said, on a long range precision rifle, my main concern is maintaining a consistent cheekweld, and sight picture. Less so than recoil management. If I wanted to reduce recoil, I’d just go with a brake or a suppressor (when feasible). Given the additional moving parts, what are your experiences as to these factors on a precision rifle? 007Kevin 1/24/2008 2:31:41 AM Couple questions now: 1. Could you get just the stock with it fixed in a rigid position, no recoil buffer thing? 2. Could the grip be changed to the magpull MIAD or Ergo as you can on an AR? It looks as if there is a Hogue AR grip on it but not sure. I mean I would highly consider the just the stock w/o the recoil buffer system if I can do just those two things asked above. vectorsc 1/27/2008 10:19:32 PM Not to be a jerk…but please…please dont mount a light on your PWS… It’s like giving condoms to nuns. If you need it, you are doing something wrong. RobarSR60 1/28/2008 12:58:03 AM Yup, it’s a rifle stock…I guess. Can’t say I’m impressed.

I DO like EOTechs. Kind of. But only for short range work–their speed at 25m and in makes up for the whole battery thing, to me at least

I dont think the one from Bravo comes with the sling swivel ends like the one from Larue. I think that is the price difference.

I have one and it’s great, it’s made by Vtac and honestly it’s cheaper if you get it at Bravo Co.
I love LaRue Tactical but I ordered my second one from Bravo Co because it was about $25 cheaper so now I have two, one for my personal gun and one for work

JBCHRITZ 8/19/2008 1:50:41 AM No clue. I always leave my Surefire Batteries in everything until they need to be replaced. Joe Skibane 8/19/2008 4:07:35 AM Some devices consume a minute amount of current, even when they’re “turned off”. Over a long period of storage, this small load can add up to enough to drain a significant amount of charge out of the battery(s). Another consideration is chemical leakage, the risk of which depends greatly on the battery’s chemistry, brand, and state of charge – Carbon-zinc Surefire Batteries can leak after just a few months storage; alkaline cells in just a few years, and lithium Surefire Batteries may not leak in your entire lifetime. Among the name brands, Duracell seems to have one of the best reputations for leak resistance;
I haven’t seen the stock on an SKS Rifle Stocks personally except in pictures.
Before cleaning.
The first patch I ran through, and the last one. Some krud Kutter for the stock. A little TLC stuff for the commie lady!
And when I was done with her. Not much difference, but much cleaner! Don’t worry my friend, now your have a proper home. Another American Patriot with a commie tool!
